Shade Hotel - a luxury boutique hotel in CA, is a pretty perfect wedding venue and could double as an amazing honeymoon spot. Why do you do what you do? My partner (and mom) love to bake. So our business got it's start from doing what we love to do in our spare time. It's therapeutic for us. We love our work and feel so blessed that we get to work with each other every day doing something that we enjoy so much. The best part of our job is hearing the anecdotal stories from our clients about how Pie has been such a big part of their lives. Pie seems to bring up the feeling of being " home" whatever that means for each individual. The emotion and stories that been evoked when someone samples our product has been the most interesting, unexpected and rewarding part of our job.

What should brides/grooms/curious seekers know about you?We are a mother daughter team who are totally engaged in every process of the business. Our client's satisfaction is paramount to us. We bake what's in season, and use only all natural, farm- fresh ingredients. We believe in supporting the local food economy and buy local as much as we can. Our 1st Anniversary is this week!

What makes a wedding super rad to you?A super rad wedding to us is one that highlights the individuality of the bride and groom. Like the wedding we just booked for this Mach...the bride and groom are using little Lego figures as their boutonnieres... each one representing the personality of the groomsmen. How cool is that?

Name one thing about a wedding that you would like to see changed. One thing about a wedding that we would like to see changed is the stuffy traditions that take away from the brides and groom's personality.

You will meet some rad people at THE CREAM. What makes a good first impression to you? Someone makes a good first impression to me when I feel they are being authentic...truly themselves. Someone who is really interested in making connections with others.

Charades or Movie night? Charades....way more interactive

Full moon or New moon? Full moon b/c you never know what may happen.

Bowtie or Bolo tie? Bowtie for sure ( but Bolo tie has a sweet place in my heart b/c my grandad, Bobo, always wore one when he dressed up).

Road trip or Transatlantic flight? Road trip! I just took a road trip for my honeymoon 18 hours in the car! Talking about getting to know your partner....

Sequins or Stubble? Stubble. We're not very girly....

Citrus or fern? Citrus.... you get the juice plus the fresh fragrance.

Pre party or After party? After party most definitely....after everyone has let down their guard and is more open to being themselves.

Salty or Sweet? It would have to be a combo for us. You need both the yin and yang.

Banjo or Ukulele? Banjo .... so cool.

Stripes or Polka dots? Definitely Polka dots...way more fun and whimsical.

Home cooked or Take out? Definitely home cooked! There's nothing better than sitting around a table with family and/or friends for a home cooked meal!

Champagne or Scotch? Champagne for sure....all those bubbles.

Blues or Country? Depends on the mood. Sometimes you just need a good old fashion country song...

Penthouse or Outhouse? Both. A penthouse in town and an outhouse in the country.

Why do you do what you do? I love helping people to look and feel their best! Even just a minor adjustment can totally change the way someone sees themselves!

What should brides/grooms/curious seekers know about you? My team and myself genuinely care about each and every client and we will do everything in our power to help fulfill their vision.

What makes a wedding super rad to you? The little unexpected touches that help tell a story about the couple.

Name one thing about a wedding that you would like to see changed. I would like to see brides stop forsaking the integrity of their hair in the name of their wedding look. We can do amazing things with ANY length of hair and healthy hair will always look beautiful!
